Job Description
As Lead SQL Server Architect, you will have primary responsibility for managing complex database migration and handling escalations. Participate in weekly and monthly reviews with the customer. Work with the account to meet commitments, requirements, and expectations, ensuring that all planned upgrades and migrations are delivered on time. Provide consultation and highlight risks proactively for SQL Server workload. Validate the existing process, migration approach, and provide recommendations. Provide inputs to the automation team for pre and post-check activities. Provide post-migration support during the warranty period. Role & Responsibilities Describe the challenges, key result areas, decisions you can make, team size, and future growth in our organization. Provide the project/account description, wherever possible, else describe the activities scheduled in the project/account. Mandatorily specify the domain/technology areas the candidate will work on. Required Candidate Profile Mandatory to specify what domains/technology areas/skills/projects the candidate should have worked on. What knowledge of the job, market/industry knowledge must they possess? Specify the required skill levels regarding communication, team management, and business development. Describe in detail what their current role should have been in their current organization. Technical Skills Required Strong SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2022 expertise. Performance tuning experience. Large SQL Server upgrade and migration projects experience. Hands-on experience with SSMA, DMA, and Azure DMS migration tools. Solid acquaintance with Azure PaaS, Windows Server, security delegation, and storage components. Specific Domain/Technical/Functional Skills Could be one of the following: Wireless, Datacom, Optical Networks, Intelligent Networks, VoIP, Switching Systems Telecom Service Provider Applications WAP Gateway, Bluetooth Solutions, VLSI/System Design, OS/Platform Technologies B2B/B2C/Mobile commerce/Web Security, CRM/SCM/ERP, Data warehousing, Client Server/Mainframe IT Infrastructure Sales & Marketing, HR/Recruitment, Quality/Administration Others Preferred with tech domain experience. Preferred with experience in ITIL-based delivery, preferably with ITIL Foundation Certification. Should have Windows and Linux operation experience. Must have Azure SQL MI, SQL Database, AlwaysOn, Replication, and Log Shipping experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
