Job Description

Job Description: Lead SQL Server Architect will have primary responsibility for managing complex database migration and handling escalations. Participate in weekly and monthly reviews with the customer. Work with the account to meet commitments, requirements, and expectations, ensuring that all planned upgrades and migrations are delivered on time. Provide consultation and highlight risks proactively for SQL Server workload. Validate the existing process, migration approach, and provide recommendations. Provide inputs to the automation team for pre and post check activities. Provide post-migration support during the warranty period. Requirements: Work with customer engineering and design teams to meet commitments, requirements, and expectations, ensuring that all use cases are delivered on time. Perform knowledge transfer from customer engineering and design teams to understand customer processes and migration approaches. Pass on the acquired knowledge to SQL Server team members. Provide consultation and updates for SQL Server migration. Provide post-migration support. Technical Skills Required: Strong SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2022 expertise. Performance tuning experience. Experience with large SQL Server upgrade and migration projects. Hands-on experience with SSMA, DMA, and Azure DMS migration tools. Solid acquaintance with Azure PaaS, Windows Server, security delegation, and storage components. Preferred experience in the tech domain. Preferred experience with ITIL-based delivery; preferably with ITIL Foundation Certification. Experience with Windows and Linux operations. Must have experience with Azure SQL MI, SQL Database, AlwaysOn, Replication, and Log Shipping. #J-18808-Ljbffr
