Job Description

Delivery Manager – Infrastructure Projects Work on large, complex and meaningful projects across Greater Sydney, where your contribution will make a difference in improving the lives of Sydney’s communities. Lead your own team in delivering major water infrastructure projects, such as pipelines, reservoirs, pumping stations, and water treatment plants with a focus on sustainability. Flexible working hours to suit your needs. We are looking for an experienced Delivery Manager with a background ideally in Large Scale Infrastructure Projects . Your knowledge and experience of managing multidisciplinary engineering teams will help Sydney Water deliver a $34 billion dollar investment program over the next 10 years to build, maintain, and protect the future of our iconic water resources. The role will manage the successful development and delivery of complex water infrastructure projects ($500 m - $1bn in value). Leading a multidisciplinary project team as well as managing external contractors, you will deliver programs of work that meet time and budgetary constraints as well as meeting agreed standards and compliance factors. Your Experience and Qualifications Relevant Qualification: Degree or experience in Project Management, Business Management, Portfolio and Program management, or Engineering. Technical Proficiency and Problem-Solving: An extensive track record of program and project management in high-profile public infrastructure projects. Demonstrated experience in leading multidisciplinary technical teams towards common goals. Communication and Influence: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, enabling effective consultation and relationship-building with key stakeholders both within and outside Sydney Water. Advanced ability to organise and manage teams. Strategic Insight and Flexibility: Deep understanding of best practices in infrastructure planning, coupled with the ability to influence stakeholders, drive change, and apply sound judgment to achieve successful outcomes.
