Associate Midwifery Unit Manager (AMUM) (529855) Department of Health Location: North West Regional Hospital, 23 Brickport Road, Burnie Applications must be submitted by: Sunday 09 February, 2025 11:55 PM AEST Award / Classification: Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Award, Registered Nurse, Grade 5 Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 pro rata, per annum Employment type: Multiple FTE - Full-Time & Part-Time positions The Role: Works in partnership with the Maternity Unit Manager (MUM) and other senior staff to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care based on best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework. Assists the MUM with the planning and management of staff and resources and provides operational leadership through the coordination of day-to-day patient care activities, including patient flow. Ensures the maintenance of effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders to promote client care delivery. Provides a high level of clinical knowledge and skill to ensure clinical standards and policies and procedures to promote a client-focused model of care according to best practice principles. Acts as a role model and clinical resource person to provide clinical advice and recommendations, support service development processes, and promote positive change. Details of appointment: Permanent, part-time, shift worker position, working up to 74 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Notwithstanding, hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Minimum Requirements: Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Midwife Current Working with Children Registration Registration / licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment.
