Deputy Director-General, InnovationDepartment of the Environment, Tourism, Science and InnovationAbout the RoleThe Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation (DETSI) is a diverse organisation that brings together environment, heritage protection, national parks, science, tourism, and innovation functions to help achieve government objectives for a better Queensland.We are seeking a Deputy Director-General to provide strategic leadership and direction to building innovation and facilitating long-term economic growth to create jobs for Queenslanders.What You'll Do: Champion Queensland: Promote and prioritise growth and investment opportunities and strategies to attract and retain talent in Queensland. Strategic Vision and Direction: Lead the development and implementation of strategies, programs and initiatives that foster innovation. The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for a dynamic and agile leader with a strong record of achieving results in complex organisations and commercial acumen. You should have extensive experience in innovation strategy and policy implementation, service delivery, and program management.
