GRG is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the team. Company GRG is a professional engineering consultancy with offices in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Bendigo specialising in the food processing and pharmaceutical industries, as well as servicing other general industrial and commercial sector clients. We provide comprehensive project management, design and drafting services in Mechanical, Structural, Civil, Electrical and Chemical Engineering. Role This opportunity is for a degree qualified engineer with 10+ years of experience. Prior experience in any of the following areas will be highly regarded: project engineering/project management for capital projects in the food industry or similar (e.g., pharma, FMCG, general manufacturing, packaging, materials handling, industrial automation, etc.). Electrical, Mechanical or Structural engineering degree is preferred, but other disciplines will also be considered with relevant transferrable skills. The role requires strong communication and people skills as well as a high standard of technical writing skills including professional engineering reports and specifications. To be successful will require professionalism, a good attitude, and the ability to interact positively with others, including other team members and clients. You will have an aptitude for problem solving and concept development and the ability to translate project requirements into actionable tasks. On-the-job support will be provided by other experienced team members; however, a certain amount of autonomy is necessary. Typical daily activity involves a mixture of engineering design, analysis, and project management and supervision tasks from initial scope development and budgeting. The work environment is mostly office-based, or onsite at client manufacturing factories or similar. Some work from home flexibility is also possible at times. The role may involve liaising directly with clients and contractors; you will maintain and uphold the company's reputation as a respected professional engineering service provider with your exceptional personal presentation, communication skills, and attention to detail. Selection Criteria: 10+ years of post-graduate technical experience; Demonstrated organisation skills, analytical skills, computational skills and attention to detail; Sufficient experience and ability to work autonomously with limited direction; Awareness and understanding of a range of engineering concepts and principles and their application; Awareness and understanding of relevant Australian Standards and their application; Knowledge of manufacturing processes and construction methods and the ability to demonstrate appropriate consideration of these factors during design; Demonstrated ability to execute analytical calculations; Desirable registrations CPEng, NER, RPEQ; High quality communication skills, particularly written and spoken English; Professionalism, positive attitude, and enthusiasm, and a desire for continual professional development; Australian Driver’s License.
