Career Opportunities: Development Compliance Officer (3263) Requisition ID 3263 - Posted - Planning and Development - Full Time As Development Compliance Officer, you will be part of the Development Planning Branch and responsible for investigating development-related offences under the Building Act and Planning Act legislation. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Conducting investigations related to development offences in accordance with the relevant local government, planning, and building legislation. Education and enforcement to assist in ensuring risks to public safety or the environment are minimised or avoided. Managing a portfolio of Customer Service Requests. Consulting, negotiating, and providing assistance on matters of a technical or general development nature with developers, consultants, statutory authorities, and residents. To be successful in this role you will have: Qualifications (tertiary or other) in a relevant field such as town planning, building surveying/construction, environmental management, or relevant experience in local government compliance/investigations. About the benefits This is a full-time, fixed-term position until December 2025, level 4 with a salary commencing at $89,396 plus 12.5% superannuation.
