Permanent Full-Time Salary Classification: Dietitian Level 5 Yr 1-2. Remuneration: $65.89-$67.49 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options + RDO's The Role The Dietician in Charge is responsible for the overall management, strategic direction and operations for the Nutrition and Dietetics Department at Calvary Mater Newcastle. The position works collaboratively with multi-disciplinary leaders and teams across the hospital to plan, coordinate and deliver high quality equitable nutrition care to inpatients, and outpatients undergoing cancer treatment. Duties Lead the Nutrition and Dietetics Department on a day-to-day basis. Manage the provision of nutrition and services within CMN, including planning and coordination of services, the provision of expert advice to achieve both budget and service delivery targets whilst maximising service delivery outcomes for patients. Manage dietetic support staff; plan and evaluate their roles and contribution to the provision of nutrition support. Lead and direct the workflow and duties of the nutrition & dietetics staff to ensure services are performed in accordance with legislation and approved policy and procedures. Consult, support and liaise with Medical, Nursing, Allied Health and other professionals to facilitate optimum provision of service to patients and their families. About You Hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in Nutrition & Dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitian’s Association of Australia or other qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer. Ability to build and maintain co-operative professional and therapeutic relationships. Demonstrated broad clinical experience. Demonstrated high-level knowledge and an understanding of person-centred-care, quality improvement and evidence based practice. Demonstrated leadership skills and a multidisciplinary team approach in the planning, delivery and co-ordination of patient care and team workload. HOW DO YOU APPLY?
