Location: ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA (Hybrid) Contract: 6 months with 1 x 12 month extension Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline Are you a skilled Digital Content Developer with a passion for enhancing communication through innovative digital tools? Support key departmental and government priorities in this exciting role. As a Digital Content Developer, you'll assist the Lead Content Developers and Assistant Director, Digital Applications, in maintaining and improving a SharePoint-based document management system that supports various operational and corporate functions. This role offers an opportunity to work on impactful projects from content design to system improvements, while ensuring the highest standards of usability, accessibility, and communication effectiveness. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deliver content for the document management system, aligning with digital service standards and best practices. Manage content publication, including processing change requests, archiving, and adhering to publishing standards. Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams, balancing multiple priorities and delivering quality results. Create training tools to empower staff in using digital platforms. Continuously analyze data to improve the document management system and related content. Ensure digital content is accessible, user-friendly, and meets organizational standards for communication. Demonstrate commitment to the organization’s Values while fostering an inclusive and productive work environment. Essential Qualifications & Experience: Proven experience in digital content design, writing in plain English, and adhering to accessibility and style guides. Hands-on experience with content management systems (SharePoint highly desirable). Strong Microsoft 365 experience, including MS Project and MS Visio. Knowledge of systems development and project management tools (Azure DevOps is an advantage). Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines. Exceptional communication skills with a talent for tailoring content to diverse audiences. Desirable Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or a related field. Project management experience and SharePoint site ownership skills.
