Ensure training and assessment is conducted in accordance with Signet Institute’s policies and procedures. Be well versed with the trainer’s handbook and other Signet Institute important documents. Develop lesson/session plans and PowerPoint presentations as required. Maintain and retain the attendance sheet and provide to admin department daily. Assess student assessments in accordance with the principles of assessment and rules of evidence. Ensure students who are deemed competent meet the assessment requirements. Maintain student assessments in original copy and submit to Student Services. Monitor students’ course progress and provide it to Student Services. Advise students about their assessment outcome and provide them with constructive feedback. Utilise various methods to engage students in their daily activities. Be present in the classroom prior to the delivery start time and ensure proper preparation for training delivery. Ensure the class is delivered until the scheduled end time. Ensure presence and avoid taking leave throughout the delivery period for all allocated classes. Conduct oneself in a professional manner, including dressing neatly and being polite and respectful. Report any serious problems to the Direct Supervisor, Student Services, and Management as required. Carry out tasks requested by the Direct Supervisor within a reasonable timeframe. Maintain a neat and tidy classroom area at all times. Student Activity and Support Communicate with the Direct Supervisor, Student Services, and Management about any student issues or concerns. Apply an intervention plan to support students who are not meeting course progress requirements. Participate and/or contribute to student counselling sessions as required. Communicate with students via TEAMS and ensure all communications are logged in the system. Mentor and guide students to achieve satisfactory course outcomes. Contact students who miss class either on the day of class or if they miss 3 consecutive days. Uphold cultural responsiveness; be aware of and responsive to staff and students' cultural needs. Assess and address the varied needs of students. Provide additional assistance to students with low levels of literacy and numeracy. Identify and provide reasonable adjustment support to students with additional needs. Resources Contribute to the development of resources and courses. Participate in assessment contextualization, validation, and moderation. Participate in regular course reviews to improve the quality of courses taught. Provide suggestions on how to improve Signet Institute’s training and assessment resources. Contribute to the development of best practice models of training and assessment. Drive innovation and continuous improvement through feedback and consultations. Do not remove any resources from Signet Institute’s premises without prior consent. Participate in professional development sessions as per company requirements. Ensure professional development is continuously maintained for industry currency. Ensure the staff matrix and professional development log is kept current. Mandatory Qualifications, Experience, and Skills TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Qualification equivalent to proposed teaching qualification or demonstrated equivalency. Minimum 2 years’ VET industry experience in relevant field. 1 year experience in training and assessment in relevant field. Intermediate level computer skills & capability to use PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and Word. Written and verbal communication skills sufficient to deliver quality learning experiences for students.
