The role The Director Engagement & Concierge leads strategic engagement and concierge services with the development industry, community housing providers, Aboriginal land managers, advocacy groups and other stakeholders to create seamless, customer-focused experiences on behalf of the Planning Group. By building strong relationships with stakeholders, you will champion change and system efficiency by identifying project and system-wide interventions. Your team will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality customer service, helping to resolve complex planning issues to enable stakeholders to progress projects. You will be responsible for ensuring senior executives and government are advised on emerging stakeholder issues and trends, as well as working across the department to provide outcomes-focused solutions. The challenge lies in balancing diverse stakeholder needs while maintaining efficiency and responsiveness in a fast-paced environment. You’ll need to navigate complex situations, manage competing priorities, and drive continuous improvements to enhance service delivery and engagement outcomes. What you will bring to the role Significant knowledge of the workings of government and in-depth knowledge and experience working with applicable legislation and regulations. Capable of driving outcomes while effectively involving stakeholders throughout the process, fostering collaboration and buy-in. Significant experience managing significant change and large and complex resources to achieve key organisational objectives. Significant experience in mobilising discrete projects, programs and initiatives. Proven leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve shared goals. What is an essential requirement: Tertiary qualifications in planning, economics, geography or related and/or equivalent relevant experience.
