The Director applies both financial and people management skills and knowledge, taking responsibility for the delivery of practice management quality, reporting, staff development, completion of the financial audit program, and supervision and development of the team. Hours per fortnight 73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available. Duties Oversee the continued development and implementation of data analytics, artificial intelligence, and system automation processes for the practice. Manage the staff resourcing requirements of the practice, including the recruitment strategy. Oversee and manage the learning and development requirements of the practice, particularly associated with the development and delivery of technical training. Oversee the performance reporting needs of the practice. Manage quality management processes and compliance. Undertake general oversight and compliance requirements of staff performance development and management. Oversee unit resource scheduling and audit allocation processes for delivery of audit and reporting programs. Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports and manage senior staff in line with the Office’s Performance Management Framework. Undertake high-level assurance work that meets auditing standards and is carried out within the framework of the Office’s audit methodology. Identify and understand information technology and computer systems relevant to current and future business needs. Recommend and issue appropriate audit and assurance opinions on larger and higher risk audits. Perform Signing Officer duties on delegated audits. Develop and manage relationships with stakeholders and actively participate in relevant forums. Provide high-level advice and make decisions based on professional expertise and legislative requirements. Develop reports that include compelling narratives with observations and recommendations supported by evidence and data analysis. Contribute to team and office cohesiveness and maintain professional relationships within the Office. Performance is measured against Key Performance Indicators developed and agreed upon for each role in the Office and documented in annual Performance Plans. Pre-employment Checks The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this position must satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion, or transfer. The following checks will be conducted: Conviction checks across various offences. Disciplinary action in previous employment check. Driver’s Licence. A tertiary qualification at degree level in a relevant discipline from a recognised institution; PLUS completion of a recognised accounting/auditing certificate program with specified practical experience. Five years’ experience in the relevant discipline and/or in management.
