The Director, Financial Accounting and Revenue Management is key to enabling strong governance and commercially focused decisions that ensure effective use of the department’s budget.You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of financial statutory reporting requirements, including financial accounting and strategic asset planning and management. Additionally, you will oversee the revenue collection for Queensland’s state land, mining, and petroleum resources.About The Role Lead the delivery of professional financial accounting services and advice to departmental management in areas including statutory reporting, interpretation of policy, legislation and standards, and delivery of the annual financial statements. Oversee the successful delivery of strategic and operational asset accounting services. Lead and manage the provision of high-level advice to executive management on land and mining tenure financial revenue matters in relation to policy issues and recommended policy initiatives. Lead and cultivate high performing teams through effective leadership, empowerment of staff, supportive feedback on performance and promotion of professional development. Contribute to the achievement of the Finance and Digital Strategy's vision through the provision of strategic advice, active participation in the senior management team, promoting a collegiate approach to activities across the division and the successful implementation of divisional plans. Other duties as directed and required. What We're Looking For Relevant accounting qualification and CPA/CA or equivalent status. Strategic and operational leadership capabilities.
