The Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) is currently seeking applications for a Director – Property and Security to join the friendly and collaborative Property and Security team. This ongoing full-time position can be located in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney. This is a hybrid role, with an office presence required to manage operations. Reporting to the Chief Corporate Officer, the Director Property and Security works across our geographic footprint to lead a multi-disciplinary team of specialists in the areas of security, asset management, facilities and accommodation to deliver high-level services to ensure the Tribunal has a safe and secure footprint. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide high level expert advice and support to senior management and staff and be involved in reviewing, developing and implementing strategies and initiatives to ensure the Tribunal is running efficiently. This also includes the development and implementation of quality frameworks, systems and processes to underpin sound decision making and deliver responsive, relevant and cost-effective services. Key Responsibilities: Stakeholder management : Provide high level strategic advice to senior management, and day-to-day operational advice and promotion of better practice property and security services. Develop and maintain complex internal and external relationships with stakeholders. Security : Lead the implementation of the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) in collaboration with the Chief Corporate Officer (Chief Security Officer), including developing and implementing a security plan to manage the Tribunal's security risks. Facilities and accommodation: Oversee the management of the Tribunal's facilities and accommodation, managing the Tribunal's property footprint, facilities budgets and routine maintenance. Leadership and Management: Lead, coach and professionally develop direct reports, ensuring effective resourcing within budget and adherence to legislation. Service Delivery: Manage the delivery of high quality services from a property and security perspective that support the Tribunal’s functions. To be successful you will have: Knowledge and practical experience in leading Property and Security functions in a federal or state government environment. Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and exercise sound judgement. Experience navigating organisational change whilst driving continuous business improvements. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a large and geographically dispersed multi-disciplinary team.
