Reporting to the Principal as a key member of the Executive Team and working closely with the Board, the Director of Business will be responsible for: contributing to strategic planning alongside the Principal, Executive Team and Board; leading the financial and administration operations of the school, including IT Services; managing the maintenance and development of the school’s assets and coordinating external contractors; leading, managing, mentoring, motivating and developing the non-teaching staff; overseeing the management of Work Health and Safety in the school; interfacing with Catholic Education, government authorities, professional organisations and other key external stakeholders; understanding, being supportive and modelling the ethos of the school. Tertiary qualifications in a business discipline and CA/CPA status are essential. Board, Company Secretary and associated governance training and experience will be highly regarded. Transferable experience in education or a comparable human services domain will also be well regarded but more important is experience in the business management of a multi-dimensional organisation, combined with excellent commercial acumen and superior communication, collaboration and strategic thinking skills. Strong interpersonal skills, EQ, sound judgement, warmth, authenticity and vision will equip the appointee for success in this diverse leadership role.
