Key responsibilities include: Provide Strategic Vision : Identify opportunities and build alliances, set clear strategic goals, and provide the environment and tools for the team to execute them effectively. Tech-Driven Leadership : Leverage technology to streamline processes, enhance client experiences, and maintain market competitiveness. Partnership & Stakeholder Management : Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, partners, regulators, and investors where required. Governance & Regulatory Expertise : Thoroughly understand compliance and governance in business environments and build a team to execute. Growth-Focused Mindset : Assist the CEO in scaling the business in high-growth industries while maintaining operational excellence. Financial Management Knowledge : Understand financial management and implementation within the Emergency services and rescue sectors and navigate complex industry dynamics. Have very sound financial management control procedures. Innovative Problem-Solving : Find solutions to challenges and seize opportunities in an evolving market. Be able to take available information and make key directions and decisions in a very timely manner. Advocacy and Brand Management : Represent the company with media and in public forums and build strong reputation with key customers, stakeholders, and government departments. Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in either Military or Emergency services, within Australia, or overseas, with proven ability in improving business with metrics and KPI’s. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive continuous improvement and change management initiatives. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the demonstrated ability to develop and manage a high performing team and manage both internal and external stakeholder relationships at all levels of the organisation. Previous experience in an ISO accredited organisation, contract/commercial management experience, and strategic planning. Sound computer literacy, especially in regard to financial acumen, with experience overseeing budgets and reporting. Sound ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities, solve complex problems, and work under pressure. An understanding of federated business models and how they operate at Executive Leadership level with proven ability to support business growth. Advocacy and policy experience, with a demonstrated ability to influence and develop impactful partnerships in government and political landscapes to effect meaningful change. Ability to obtain a National Police Check, Defence Industry Security Clearance, and Working with Children Check. What we offer: Our ethos is ‘One Response. Do it once.
