Are you a fantastic disability support worker? Variety of regular shifts $43.67 p/h weekdays after induction, plus salary packaging (pay less tax) About us We’re InLife, a not-for-profit disability support provider that specializes in working with people with frequent and complex support needs, including 24/7 assistance. We build teams around every client, depending on each person’s needs and preferences. We partner with people with any type of disability who want to live independently in the community (and we love to make that happen!). That’s why our assistants are so important. Our clients may have physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, neurological conditions, intellectual disabilities, or autism. We’re honored that many of our clients rely solely on InLife for their essential support needs. Our teams are based in Melbourne, Geelong, and regional Victoria, including Benalla, Wangaratta, Stawell, and Bendigo. For this role, we are looking for people to support our clients who are located in the city, Docklands, and South Melbourne areas. To do a great job, you’ll need: Good judgment and common sense, listening skills, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to our values. Experience in supporting people with a physical disability and using manual handling equipment. Willingness to commit to regular ongoing shifts - minimum of 3 shifts per week, including smaller duration shifts (i.e., 2-3 hours) and experience in supporting people with mental health. Experience and skills supporting clients to feel comfortable in their chosen environment, with the ability to assess the immediate environment and provide appropriate support. Experience in personal care (showering and dressing) and assistance with household duties. Great patience and a willingness to put in the time and energy to build rapport with clients. Commitment and enthusiasm in supporting clients with community activities such as gym, swimming, and art, with an understanding of meaningful engagement .
