The Opportunity We are recruiting people to join the team in the position of Domestic and Personal Care Assistant working in the community and based in the Adelaide Hills area including Mt. Barker, Hahndorf, Littlehampton, Bridgewater, Oakbank and Balhanah. You will be responsible for providing best practice personal, social & emotional, and domestic care to patients in their own homes. You will perform a range of domestic assistant activities including cleaning duties such as cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, washing, sweeping, mopping, and occasionally some personal care activities of meal preparation, transportation to appointments, and daily living such as mobility, showering, dressing, and personal grooming. This is a casual opportunity offering flexibility with shifts available across the hours of 7 am to 9 pm, Monday to Sunday, and you will be reimbursed for travel in between appointments and paid additional penalties for weekends worked. What will set you apart from the rest? You have 1+ years' experience as Domestic Assistant, particularly experience in domestic cleaning to a high standard, plus 1+ year experience as a Personal Care Assistant and are able to demonstrate compassion, integrity, and a patient-centered mindset. You exhibit strong cultural sensitivity and a strong cross-cultural communication ability. Additionally, you are comfortable working autonomously and can keep to a schedule. Previous experience working in a community setting will be highly regarded.
