Gladstone Hospital is an 80-bed hospital and offers a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services including emergency, general medicine and surgery, basic orthopaedic, clinical investigation, obstetrics, maternity, gynaecology, high dependency and coronary care, palliative care, medical imaging, pathology and paediatrics. Additional services include Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service, oral health, physiotherapy, dietetics, speech pathology and outreach/community-based facilities, as well as a Primary Health Care Centre located at Boyne Valley. About the role: The purpose of this role is to provide advanced clinical and operational leadership and accountability for supporting the nursing team of Gladstone Hospital in the after-hours environment and maintaining a point of contact for escalation of matters and advice as required. About you: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position. A relevant post graduate qualification in a clinical stream or alternatively post graduate qualification in management/leadership is a desirable of this role. Expert specialist experience in the provision of a safe and quality focused environment by ensuring safe work practices, reviewing clinical outcomes, developing a quality improvement plan and applying the risk management framework.
