As a trainee, you will get the opportunity to pursue a professional qualification specific to the business area you will be working in. We believe in nurturing your potential and setting you on the path to success. The role This role may include elements of corporation tax, personal tax, or both. As part of your role as a Corporate Tax Associate, you will predominantly be working in our corporation tax compliance team and will provide assistance as needed on advisory projects. We would expect you to gain experience in dealing with all corporation tax compliance matters on a range of clients, which may include local SMEs, listed businesses, international groups, and football clubs. As an integral and valued member of the team, you will be expected to form and build long-term relationships with existing clients to assist them in achieving their objectives. As part of your role as a Personal Tax Associate, you will assist with the tax compliance needs of our mixed portfolio of clients. This includes the preparation of Self-Assessment Tax Returns, tax disclosures, Inheritance Tax forms, capital gains compliance, and much more. Additionally, you will support our clients through the Personal Tax Advisory Team to provide solutions that create a tax-efficient position, which could include tax planning for selling their business, succession planning for the future, and much more. Qualification We have created a first-class training and development programme and, by starting your career at Azets, in addition to the comprehensive on-the-job training, you will also be given all the support you need to complete a professional qualification, including college and/or study days, mentoring, and a designated buddy. We offer a range of different qualification pathways at Azets which are determined by the role you are applying for. The qualification that will be undertaken for this position will be the ATT/CTA pathway. Application Requirements To get the job that you’ll love, you will: Need the right to work in the UK from your start date. Have achieved Level 4 or above in English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent). Have achieved/be on track to achieve a minimum of 96 UCAS points (or equivalent). Please note, this role is not suitable if you are studying or already hold an undergraduate and/or master's degree.
