Job Description

Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the EHS Specialist role will make an impact by assisting with establishing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, occupational health, and safety regulations. Perform specialised tasks, and other duties to promote and ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally sound work environment. To work with all site leads to create a collaborative and cohesive team. Key responsibilities for this role include: Experience in design and implementation of EHS Management Systems. Experienced in Workers Compensation, Injury management, RTW cases, OH&S Policies and Training including E-Learning. Accreditation in - First Aid, Fire Safety Advisor, Rehabilitation and RTW Coordinator. Demonstrated ability to work with EHS software and advanced computer skills e.g. MS Office, etc. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and influence at all staff levels including senior management. Ability to develop, schedule, conduct and lead internal EHS audits. Experience in Behavioural Safety Programs, especially in the development and application of associated training. Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and work autonomously. Manage security within the Queensland sites ensuring both the physical and electronic protection is maintained to a high standard. The minimum qualifications for this role are: At least five (5) years successful experience within the manufacturing industry preferably the Pharmaceutical or Food industry. Demonstrated three (3) years’ experience in an EHS role directly supporting operations (ideally within a related industry). Tertiary qualifications in OH&S; Cert IV in Training & Assessment (preferred or willing to obtain) Good knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) (preferred) Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to advise and apply statutory obligations in respect to EHS Legislations.
