My client is a global manufacturer based near Geelong in Melbourne. Committed to prioritizing the safety and well-being of employees, contractors, and visitors, they are actively seeking a dedicated HSE Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory compliance, implementing environmental monitoring initiatives, and managing health, safety, and environmental programs to foster a safe and compliant workplace. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, including AICIS and Modern Slavery laws. Lead risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies across production, site installations, and commercial projects. Develop and manage health, safety, and environmental policies, fostering a strong safety-first culture. Conduct incident investigations, audits, and root cause analyses while ensuring all incidents are properly documented and reported. Perform environmental monitoring, including exposure measurement for hazardous chemicals and stormwater assessments. Liaise with regulatory bodies (WorkSafe, EPA, etc.) and support emergency preparedness initiatives. Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees and contractors. About You: Strong knowledge of OH&S legislation, risk assessment, and hazard management. Experience in handling and storing hazardous chemicals and dangerous goods highly desirable, although not essential. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams and engaging with external stakeholders. Diploma or Certificate-level qualification in WHS/OHS or a related field. What's on Offer?
