$115,899 - $130,733 + 15% BDCP + up to 15.4% Superannuation Reid - ACT The Role Joint Capabilities Group (JCG) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced manager to join the Cyber Security Uplift Program (CSUP). The role leads the Cyber Security Controls project to create and maintain the Department’s Cyber Security Controls Library. They will provide executive level reporting on progress of initiatives addressing cyber security control solutions. This will include:Working with Cyber Security compliance teams to understand where systemic challenges need to be addressed. Working with Capability representatives to understand Cyber Security Controls related solutions, inputting key requirements and with the stakeholders consuming these solutions. The ideal candidate must possess a balance of both demonstrated leadership and management experience, coupled with strong research and analytical skills to produce high quality reports and provide advice that informs cyber resilience and security posture. Stakeholder management skills will be critical in establishing and maintaining continuous engagement and collaboration with other cyber teams and senior leadership.This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. For further information, please contact the contact officer.About our Team Within the Joint Capabilities Group (JCG), the Cyber Security Uplift Program (CSUP) is a growing team responsible for the scope, design and implementation of enterprise-wide improvement to ensure Defence maintains a robust cyber security posture.The team is comprised of members of diverse skills and disciplines who work together to drive Defence’s cyber security outcomes through the development and embedding of best practice governance, risk, performance management and process improvement frameworks within the organisation.CSUP work focuses across Defence to support effective enterprise cyber risk management. This important role will lead the enterprise cyber risk and stream of CSUP and will form part of the teams assigned to deliver the implementation and sustainment of these capabilities to Defence. The role will work closely with other streams within the directorate including Cyber Risk Governance, Cyberworthiness and Operating Model.The program team has a high performing culture and the successful candidates can expect to be challenged in their role whilst being supported by an inclusive and considerate team lead cohort and leadership group.Our Ideal Candidate Our ideal candidate will have:A relevant background in cyber security, project management, technology, and a demonstrated experience in providing cyber controls and related solutions. Strong knowledge of cyber security frameworks (including NIST, ISO 27001 and 27005, Essential 8 and the ISM) and know how to maintain and develop documentation. Strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in producing clear, concise, and comprehensive materials, sometimes within short timeframes. The ability to anticipate potential issues, identify and assess likely impacts and implement mitigation strategies. Attention to detail including the ability to prepare quality correspondence to various Committees, understanding the audience while tailoring communication style and message accordingly. The ability to maintain effective and productive collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that recommendations are relevant to the Defence mission and viable. #J-18808-Ljbffr
