Financial Advisory Services (FAS), North Queensland Region, is looking for an outcome focused Senior Finance Business Partner who will be responsible for provision of direct support to schools to improve financial capability and compliance and provide strategic advice to schools on financial management to enhance student learning outcomes.This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months. This requires an understanding of financial management practices affecting schools and involves: Undertaking analysis of the financial management practices and financial performance of schools. Providing financial management advice to school-based staff. Monitoring the level of financial management competencies within schools. Providing appropriate training and development programs to enhance financial management skills. Working effectively in a team environment. About You The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:Sound knowledge of contemporary financial management issues and strategies impacting schools. Ability to interrogate and analyse school financial management systems. Ability to deliver training programs relating to school financial management, including both face to face and an online format. High level communication skills, both written and oral, with ability to influence client behaviour and implement change. Demonstrated leadership and management skills appropriate to achieving outcomes within negotiated timeframes.
