Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented professional to help drive strategic planning and performance activities. In this role, you'll coordinate operational planning, generate insights from data, and support evidence-based decision-making. You will oversee performance reporting, ensuring alignment with internal and statutory requirements, and transform data into meaningful insights that inform key decisions. The position is based in Brisbane, and the successful candidate will have the option to work from home under an approved Flexible Work Arrangement. Key Outcomes and Accountabilities Support the ongoing development and delivery of the QBCC's strategic planning and performance reporting activities. Collect quarterly reporting data from across the organisation and undertake detailed analyses of the collected data. Develop valuable data insights and build the necessary data infrastructure for tracking and analysing emerging market and industry trends and changes in customer behaviours. Advise and support divisions and business units in the delivery of their annual planning and quarterly reporting activities, including assisting the team in developing a new area of service in internal consultancy. Candidate Attributes Demonstrates good judgement by gathering data, researching, reviewing information, and makes recommendations based on evidence, particularly in strategic planning and performance reporting discipline. Takes responsibility for managing work projects to achieve results. Sees tasks through to completion and works within agreed priorities. Identifies issues that may impact on tasks and suggests improvements to work tasks and business practices both within the unit and across the organisation. Builds and supports productive working relationships with team members and other internal and external stakeholders. Actively listens to colleagues and stakeholders, shares information, and ensures others are kept informed of issues. Proficient in using data visualisation tools to present complex data in an understandable format, and has a high standard of oral and written communication skills, including being able to persuade and negotiate with others to achieve team outcomes.
