Education (Organisation site)Reviews, Curriculum, Teaching and Learning Branch - Schools and Student Support Division Applications are invited for the temporary vacancy of Education Officer (EOSD), Virtual Learning.This temporary vacancy is available for an immediate start to 27/06/2025.An exciting opportunity exists to join the Queensland Virtual Academy (QVA) as an Education Officer starting Term 1, 2025. The successful applicant will be responsible for collaboratively developing high quality on-demand curriculum resources to support Queensland P-6 teachers. Subject expertise within Australian Curriculum - The Arts: Music is required.The Education Officer will play a key role in working with curriculum experts, video production personnel, and quality assurance staff to create learning episodes, teaching resources and experiences in a range of formats to support teaching and learning. This starts with recruitment and selection. Your Role Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supporting the state-wide delivery of QVA On-demand learning materials. Developing Australian Curriculum - The Arts: P-6 Music resources and teaching materials aligned to the K-12 Curriculum, assessment and reporting framework. Developing innovative future-focused learning materials that support a range of schools and contexts. Delivering instructional video content with the support of a production team. Coaching and mentoring Queensland P-6 teachers, both virtually and face-to-face. About You Highly desirable skills and experience: Experience enacting curriculum aligned with the K-12 Curriculum, assessment and reporting framework. Expertise in the development and teaching of Australian Curriculum - The Arts: Music. Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment. Experience in resource production or the capability to acquire skills and knowledge in this area. Proven capability in coaching and mentoring teachers, particularly inexperienced or beginning teachers in the effective delivery of the Australian Curriculum. A strong interest in digitally-enabled learning approaches including the use of QLearn. There is an opportunity, subject to negotiation, for the successful applicant to work from their base school, with periods of resource production in Brisbane. Mandatory Requirements: You must be a permanent employee of the department with a substantive teaching or classified officer role employed under Teaching in State Education Award - State 2016, have current full registration as a teacher and should be aware that temporary internal moves for the purposes of the department's payroll processes are referred to as internal secondments. Employees engaged temporarily as Education Officer - Special Duties have a requirement of 36ΒΌ hours per week attendance and arrangements as outlined in clause 5.12 of the Department of Education State School Teachers' Certified Agreement 2022. When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
