Award/Classification: Tasmanian State Service Award - General Stream Band 6 $109,099.00 to $123,395.00 per annum Employment type: Fixed-term, full-time Region: South Location: Hobart Period of Appointment 01/05/2025 - 01/07/2028. Duties The Education and Professional Development Advisor would provide leadership in the design and delivery of the curricula for Tasmania Police post-recruit training services including Investigative Practice and Child Sexual Abuse. Based on extensive knowledge and expertise in the subject area, the incumbent will proactively collaborate with different stakeholders, undertake research, and design, develop, deliver and evaluate educational programs, while also providing administrative and project support to Education and Training. Such offences would include, but are not limited to: Arson and fire setting; Sexual offences; Dishonesty (e.g. theft, burglary, breaking and entering, fraud); Deception (e.g. obtaining an advantage by deception); Violent crimes and crimes against the person; Malicious damage and destruction to property; Trafficking of narcotic substance; Degree in a relevant field with at least 2 years post-qualification experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience in an educational or training environment.
