Job Type: Ongoing & Non-Ongoing 2 years - Full Time Location: NSW - Penrith, QLD - Robina, SA - Adelaide Currently, there are around 4.3 million Australians with a disability. The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean peace of mind for every Australian. A new role awaits The National Disability Insurance Agency’s Partners Branch manages agreements with early childhood and local area coordination partners to ensure positive outcomes for people with disability. Their work includes driving the performance and practice of partners, ensuring they fulfil contractual obligations and influence and implement change effectively across the Partner network. The branch works with key stakeholders across the agency to devise solutions that best support people with disability and deliver agreed outcomes through the Partners in the Community (PITC) program. Where you can add value The Assistant Director will provide principal support for the Director and Branch Manager in all Partner Operations areas. They provide the Partner Directorate teams with direct advice and support, assisting with improving overall Partner Performance. No one day is the same and you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of tasks, including but not limited to: Working with the Service Practice and Guidance team, developing and updating practice guidance in line with branch priorities. Implementing and leading initiatives within the branch, including the Partner Change lead forum, Assistant Director Communities of Practice, improving overall operational practices for internal staff and Partners. Providing leadership and guidance as queries arise for both Operations team members and the wider Partners Branch. Developing and leading individual continuous improvement projects and change management activities including procedures, operational processes, policy, systems, and knowledge management. Coordinating, engaging, and resolving national operational matters between Partners, Service Delivery, and other Agency enabling teams.
