The Election Training Manager is responsible for building the capabilities of ECSA’s temporary election workforce by designing, developing, and delivering high-quality training programs and resources across a variety of formats including manuals, face-to-face sessions, and online modules. Reporting to the Manager Human Resources, key responsibilities include: Leading a training needs analysis of all temporary election roles. Developing and implementing a strategy and policy for training the temporary election workforce. Collaborating with subject matter experts to update and improve existing and/or develop new training programs and resources. Creating, updating, and maintaining online training modules and content, ensuring consistency with election systems and information in manuals and procedures. Managing and administering the learning management system, including configuration, training modules, enrolment/deployment and completion reporting. Facilitating and coordinating the delivery of a range of in-person and online training events, including managing participants and presenters, venues, logistical arrangements, and agendas. Applications are encouraged from individuals with experience in managing significant projects, learning management systems, and the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of training programs and resources across multiple formats. Highly developed interpersonal and relationship management skills, ability to liaise, consult and negotiate with stakeholders, and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment are essential to this role. Special Conditions This role is offered on a temporary term basis up to 18 December 2026. In order not to compromise the strict neutrality of the Commission, no person who is active in political affairs or intends to carry on this activity may be an employee. Employment is dependent upon a criminal history check that the Commission finds satisfactory. Extensive out of normal working hours duty may be required during election events. Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
