Emergency Services Officer (Team Leader) - Gippsland Victoria - FT Description The Opportunity: As part of an exciting new project, FSA is looking for 4 x skilled Team Leaders to support our client EnergyAustralia at their Yallourn Power station. The roles will be ideally suited for local staff with rostered hours of work being an average forty-two (42) hours per week based on a rotating 12-hour 4-panel shift roster. Previous experience in a team leader role within the emergency services industry is essential for all applicants applying for this role. Required Qualifications, Competencies and Skills Completion of at least four years' service as an ESO or other similar position with like responsibilities. CFA Minimum Skills or equivalent as determined by the Company; Confined Space Rescue; Breathing Apparatus; Provide First Aid or equivalent; Strong Level of Physical Fitness; Certificate III Public Safety (Fire Fighting Operations); Level 3 First Aid; Audiometric; Pain management within the workplace; Emergency asthma management; Off road driving; Introduction to AIIMS; Cert IV Training and Assessment. Experience and Knowledge Proven ability to effectively manage and coordinate the activities of a small workgroup; Experience in incident control and emergency management particularly in relation to structural fire and wildfire, industrial rescue, hazardous materials, dangerous substances, and first aid; Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Applications, Maximo, Alesco, or similar equivalent; A sound knowledge of fire protection systems, firefighting equipment, building structure, and mechanical services and industrial processes; Ability to identify fire safety hazards and develop measures to mitigate the risks; A thorough knowledge of Estate Services Standard Operating Procedures; Experience and skills in processes, procedures, and practices relevant to firefighting and first aid; Ability to train and develop team members and others; Understanding of Building Control Legislation including the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards with respect to fire safety; Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Legislation; Knowledge and strong understanding of risk management principles; Ability to work in a team environment; A high level of self-motivation and discipline; Ability to work effectively without direct supervision; Ability to delegate tasks and monitor performance; Excellent written and oral communication skills; A desire and commitment to continuous improvement with regard to self and those assigned to your team; Commitment to OHS&E practices; Can-do attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
