Company: Civmec The Company The Civmec Balanced Machines Division has been awarded two Design and Construct projects, the first a Bridge Reclaimer for Alcoa Pinjarra and the second a Shiploader for BHP Port Hedland. The machines are designed, fabricated, assembled, and tested at our state-of-the-art Henderson facility. There is a healthy pipeline of machine projects going forward which Civmec will be involved with. We are seeking experienced Senior Electrical Engineers to join this expanding team of professional Balanced Machines Engineers. The successful applicant will be part of a busy multi-discipline design and delivery team delivering some exciting mining machine projects for our clients.You will enjoy a full project scope of work, including design, execution, and final completion at our clients’ sites throughout WA. The Role Working closely with other disciplines and drafting teams (Designers, Engineers and Project Managers). Preparing conceptual and detailed electrical designs of various types of Balanced Machine including Stackers, Reclaimers and Shiploaders. Undertaking the preparation of Electrical and instrumentation deliverables including calculation reports and drawings. Generating equipment specifications and supporting equipment evaluation and procurement activities during project execution. Defining and recommending design methods, specifications, and performance of functional requirements for new projects. Support the development of less experienced Electrical and instrumentation team members. Occasional site trips (day trips) as required. Ensure compliance with Safety in Design principles in the E&I space. Engineering support to installation, construction and commissioning teams. About You Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, or similar. As well as working towards or already gained CPEng Accreditation. A minimum of seven years of experience in the conceptualization, Front End Engineering Design (FEED), and detailed design of automation and control systems for mining equipment. Instrumentation and Automation hardware design experience. Have a solid understanding of technical electrical, instrumentation and control principles relating to Balanced Machines. The ability to write technical documentation and communicate discipline requirements to other members of the project team. Experience with EPLAN P8 is highly valued but not mandatory. Fundamental knowledge of functional safety concepts and related documentation. Familiarity with relevant Australian standards.
