The Company Our client is a global food manufacturing business that has been investing heavily through their strong financial backing. This role as the Engineering & Reliability Manager will lead all capital and R&M within one of their largest facilities. With a highly capable leadership team reporting into you, the key to success in this role will be developing and fostering a strong culture and management systems. You will work closely and build strong relationships across the Senior leadership group within the plant with the common goal of achieving the efficient, cost-effective production of high-quality products while ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees. The Role Reporting into the Plant Director, you will be responsible for: Ensuring compliance with OH&S policies and procedures to safeguard employee safety in all activities. Maintaining a steady flow of production, ensuring products meet the right quality, quantity, and on-time delivery. Optimizing machine utilization and operational efficiency. Overseeing engineering planning, performance measurement, and alignment with production goals. Leading and motivating the engineering team to meet KPIs and continuously improve performance. Ensuring proper maintenance and operation of machinery and equipment, meeting production and safety standards. Managing capital works projects, ensuring completion within scope, on time, and on budget. Troubleshooting, investigating, and resolving any nonconformities related to products, processes, and quality systems. Administering performance management, training, and development of engineering staff. Supporting the implementation of site-wide Food Safety Culture and ensuring adherence to HACCP and Quality procedures. Your Background: To be considered for this role you will have the following skills & experience: Organizational Agility: Demonstrate a strong understanding of organizational dynamics to drive change effectively. Drive Engagement: Align work with team members' goals and motivators, fostering a collaborative and empowered environment. Effective Communication: Communicate clearly across all levels, adapting messages for diverse audiences. Interpersonal Savvy: Build constructive relationships and handle group dynamics with diplomacy and tact. Financial Acumen: Analyze and act on financial data to drive operational success. A minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering, preferably in a fast-paced FMCG environment, with a focus on high-quality product distribution. Relevant qualifications in Engineering or Manufacturing (preferably in the Food Industry) and HACCP training/certification. Experience in capital projects and contractor management. Expertise in developing & implementing Asset Management principles, reliability systems & processes. A strong commitment to employee safety, process improvements, and performance metrics. Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively at all organizational levels. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
