This includes input and guidance from Operations (Navy Submariners), Project Management, Engineering and Technical, Manufacturing, Industry, Contracting and the wider Supply Chain. Design and Upgrade work maintains the capability edge of our submarines through technology refreshes aligned to dynamic changes in our geo-political region. As with sustainment, this relies upon an “Enterprise approach” to drive the updates and upgrades that keep our submarines relevant. It involves working with Navy Capability, Industry (designers), system engineers, project management and manufacturers. Our Ideal Candidate As the EL 2 Engineering Manager, you will be ready to work as part of a specialised community and contribute to supporting Australia's submarines. They will need to have the tenacity to meet these complex challenges and achieve outcomes using their technical skills and knowledge.
