Enterprise Information Technology Architect Hays Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia Your new company Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage multiple ICT Enterprise Architects, including Applications Architects and Security Architects, to work on a comprehensive multi-year ICT transformation initiative. This initiative aims to expand and mature ICT capabilities across the Intelligence lifecycle, strengthen cyber resilience, and improve ICT service delivery. All roles will be Canberra based and an initial up to 12-month contract with up to two 12-month extensions. Your new role As an ICT Enterprise Architect, whether you are focusing on Enterprise, Applications, or Security Architecture, you will play a pivotal role in leading the ICT transformation. You will leverage advanced analytics, cloud platforms, and contemporary methods to develop agency ICT strategy, map out modern solutions, and plan the entirety of the agency’s ICT work. This includes overseeing the implementation, incorporating operational and sustainment work, as well as supporting other agency business initiatives. The Enterprise ICT Architect will provide direction and facilitation for the agency’s technology strategy, roadmaps, and plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic direction. The Applications Architect will focus on developing and overseeing the implementation of application architecture, ensuring applications are contemporary, supportable, and optimally integrated. The Security Architect will develop security architecture to protect systems and data, ensuring compliance with Australian Government standards and best practices. What you'll need to succeed Hold an active or have the ability to obtain a NV1 security clearance Extensive experience in ICT architecture and strategic planning Possesses relevant skills in applying contemporary patterns (e.g., object-oriented design, microservices, containerisation, integration patterns) and technologies (e.g., cloud computing services, high and low code software development platforms, big data technologies) Proficiency in applying cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., Information Security Manual (ISM), Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) Essential 8, and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)), and technologies (e.g., IDS/IPS, SIEM, encryption, IAM, PAM, endpoint protection, computer networks) Proficiency in advanced analytics, cloud platforms, and modern methodologies Experience in developing and maintaining ICT strategies, roadmaps, and architectures across enterprise, applications, and security domains Strong leadership and collaboration skills Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking Relevant certifications and experience in government or large-scale organisations What you'll get in return The chance to make a significant impact on national security and ICT transformation Competitive hourly rate A supportive and collaborative work environment What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call now on 0 7 3243 3046 or reach out via email to If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.
