Details: The Planning and Urban Policy division is seeking applications from highly motivated, experienced, and suitably qualified individuals who will think strategically, collaborate with others in providing creative and robust advice, and be proactive in leading tasks and people to fill the role of Director, Design Policy and Government Architect. The Design Policy and Government Architect unit is a dynamic multi-disciplinary team responsible for the development of urban design policy, including design guides, providing urban design advice for the division’s planning projects, and offering design and technology capability, including the provision and coordination of graphics, CAD (2D and 3D), mapping, and GIS. Additionally, the team serves as the secretariat for the management of the National Capital Design Review Panel (NCDRP) to provide a single city-wide design review panel process for the ACT. The team also supports the role of the ACT Government Architect. Eligibility/Other Requirements: Highly Desirable: Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated equivalent industry/professional experience in urban design, urban planning, architecture, landscape architecture, or a related field. Notes: Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This position is located in a workplace designated for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
