The Role An incredible opportunity has arisen for an experienced Events Manager to join the team, ensuring Crown continues to deliver world-class events and entertainment. Reporting to the Head of Events & Entertainment, this manager will plan and execute the marketing events calendar for the business. They will provide strategic planning and advice for new events, as well as all gaming/non-gaming events and activations for all departments on premise and off. A major component of this role involves overseeing property theming, Riverwalk activations and internal events as well as the day to day management of the team. In this role, you’ll create joyful experiences through your genuine care for guests. As well as: Successfully plan and implement a portfolio of hospitality events and activations within budget, overseeing them from start to finish Provide tailored event and activation strategies to Hospitality business units in line with business objectives Build and maintain relationships with external partners, securing ongoing events, and staying updated with industry events to align with Melbourne Major Events Analyze and report profitability, with an emphasis on maximizing revenue across BU’s, cost reduction/breakdowns and overall ROI optimization Manage our team of Event Executives, overseeing their development, portfolios, and key outputs. Manage all communications & maintain rapport with clients, suppliers & internal departments such as marketing teams and delivery Provide support to the Head of Events and Entertainment and other Department Managers About you Demonstrated experience in a similar environment with sound knowledge as well as a genuine passion around the Events and Entertainment industry Excellent multi-tasking skills, the ability to manage expectations, and the capacity to build strong relationships across all management levels. Demonstrated experience in managing event budgets & negotiations Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects according to challenging deadlines whilst maintaining exceptional attention to detail Adaptable in high pressure situations and open to change if the business requires Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise & connect with guests and stakeholders at all levels Demonstrated experience in managing a small team focused on personal development and growth.
