The Opportunity As Challenge continues on its journey of growth and transformation, the Executive Director People & Practice serves as an integral member of the newly reformed Executive team. This role is accountable for providing effective strategic operational and tactical leadership to the Human Resources, WHS, Recruitment, and Payroll. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and leading a significant team, the Executive Director People & Practice will: Drive the strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of the People & Practice function across the organisation. Enhance and foster an organisational culture driven by positivity, engagement, and performance with a focus on wellbeing. Ensure a robust quality and risk management framework while maintaining compliance with legislation, policies, and industrial awards. Lead internal and external communication strategies, engage staff and stakeholders, and provide visionary leadership to optimise resources and service delivery while mitigating risk. About You For this appointment, we are seeking a seasoned and agile HR leader that is motivated by driving efficiency and optimisation at scale in a highly impactful for-purpose organisation. The key requirements for this role include: Senior/Executive HR leadership experience for an organisation of equal or greater scale with a decentralised, heavily unionised, geographically dispersed workforce. Well-developed commercial acumen with proven skills across financial, process, and data analysis. Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and confidence throughout the fundamentals of HR, Payroll, WHS, and RTW processes. Demonstrated knowledge and confidence of legislative requirements and policies (NSW OCG and NDIS).
