Title: Executive Director Location: Brisbane, California About Us: Vera Therapeutics (Nasdaq: VERA) is a late clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing treatments for serious immunological diseases. Vera’s mission is to advance treatments that target the source of immunologic diseases in order to change the standard of care for patients. Position Summary: The Executive Director will report to the Vice President of Commercial Strategy and will lead the design and execution of new-indication and disease level strategies to advance atacicept within multiple future Glomerular Nephropathy indications. S/he will oversee new product strategy and planning for new-indications in the product development lifecycle. Responsibilities: Provide commercial opportunity assessments related to possible new indications, including analysis of current and future treatment paradigms, competitive landscape, unmet needs, product positioning, and value proposition. Function as the commercial champion on program teams to ensure that customer needs are incorporated into the target product profile and all development and lifecycle management plans. Drive early brand messaging development, including collaboration with Medical Affairs and Medical Communications. In collaboration with internal advocacy partners, define and develop both professional (KOL) and patient advocacy plans. Ensure that key customer and patient perspectives are included in the drug development process. Monitor competitive intelligence for relevant new indications by keeping up to date on market trends, competitors, and opportunities. Derive and share key customer insights with the product development team. Develop early lifecycle management initiatives, including follow-on indication analyses and global launch opportunities. Develop early pre-launch strategic commercialization plans. Participate in company-wide portfolio planning. Manage an annual budget to target. Create and present regular updates in various company forums. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in a related field (e.g., MBA, MPH, MPA, or PharmD). 12+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience, with a minimum of 5 years in global launch, market access, or marketing experience. Experience with global marketing or market access. Strong negotiating skills and the ability to develop relationships and appropriately influence all partners. Ability to make clear business arguments and strategic recommendations leveraging both quantitative and qualitative evidence. Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and influencing skills. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize work with a sense of urgency. Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment. Highly skilled in partnering with teams in cross-functional matrix environments. Vera Therapeutics Inc. is an equal-opportunity employer. Vera Therapeutics is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $230,000 - $268,000. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors. At Vera, base pay is only one part of your total compensation package.
