Role Overview Lead and develop the market-leading Structured Finance team across Australia. Build innovative financial structures such as securitisation, warehousing facilities, asset-backed bonds & bespoke debt structures. Utilise the strength of your proven leadership skills, and breadth of client and governance expertise. Leader of leaders opportunity, Sydney based. How will I help? Reporting to the MD, Head of Debt Products, you will be an integral part of the leadership team delivering Debt Products to our core institutional customers. You will be responsible for managing, building and leading the provision of Structured Finance products and services to the Westpac Institutional Bank client base. This senior leadership role is a distinctive opportunity to head up the market leading team for innovative financial structures such as warehousing facilities, asset-backed bonds & bespoke debt structures. You will hold a deep understanding of the external Structured Finance market. You will adapt the Structured Finance strategy to competitor positioning and behaviour, and lead a large team of seasoned professionals to generate debt structuring ideas to lead and engage with customers and drive new business growth. Your remit will include balance sheet, capital and liquidity optimisation and meeting regulatory and compliance requirements, as well as ensuring sound risk assessment for credit decisioning. Your leadership role will require you to engage, enable and motivate a high-performance team of seven direct reports and up to 20 in your business. Your proven ability to build and leverage relationships with other Debt Product teams, Industry Coverage, Chief Operating Office, Risk, Service, and Operations teams to meet the team’s business objectives will be essential. Proven structured deal origination and execution history across a range of industries. Substantial experience in executing sophisticated financing structures. Proven experience supporting customers through changing external markets. Established domestic and international networks (i.e. Banks, Advisors & customers). A thorough working knowledge of tax, accounting, and regulatory issues related to Structured Finance APS120. Knowledge and demonstrated implementation of compliance and risk management.
