The Opportunity South West TAFE is seeking a visionary Executive Manager – Education to join its executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this pivotal role will shape the future of education in South West Victoria. You will lead and collaborate on innovative education projects, strengthen partnerships with industry, government and the community, and ensure the delivery of robust, high-quality, flexible, and student-focused educational programs. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement forward-thinking education strategies to enhance South West TAFE’s reputation and effectiveness. Lead the education delivery team, comprising five portfolio managers in addition to the industry community engagement, education partners (compliance) and education project teams. Oversee an operational budget (in excess of $20million) and educational project budget (in excess of $10million). Spearhead discussions and recommendations to amplify the role vocational education plays and, particularly South West TAFE, in attaining sustainable career pathways. Drive industry engagement to inform Educational strategy, develop programs aligned with workforce demands and uplift industry informed education projects. Foster partnerships with industry, universities, the community and government bodies to make connections to advance South West TAFE’s role in creating educational pathways and career opportunities. Overseeing and ensuring compliance with government and industry standards while maintaining operational efficiency. Represent South West TAFE in key events, awards and ceremonies and other education/government or stakeholder forums. About You You are an experienced and strategic leader in the education sector with an undeniable passion for education and its role in advancing a nation. You bring: A relevant degree in education or a related field. Significant experience in senior leadership and educational management, within the TAFE system or a complex, dynamic RTO provider. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage your community; your direct managers and broader team members, other divisions – working as one-team – and with the broader South West Victorian community. A deep understanding of Vocational Education and Training (VET) and its continual relevance to advancing the prosperity of a region and the nation through skills attainment. A visionary leader with exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills. The ability to implement strategic initiatives, deliver excellent student and industry experiences and drive continuous improvement. A Victorian Working With Children Check (mandatory).
