Myli - My Community Library (Myli) – Executive Manager Technology The Australian - Best Places to work 2024 Myli is looking for an Executive Manager Technology who is seeking to work in a dynamic and progressive organisation. As Executive Manager Technology, you will be required to work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Deputy CEO and Leadership Team and attend Board Meetings. You will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the technology team, supporting them to deliver best-practice solutions and ensure the organisations mission, vision and values drive the culture of Myli. You will be comfortable sharing your time between technology strategy and hands-on operational responsibilities. This position will require the applicant to: Be an active member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing knowledge and expertise to shape the organisation’s strategic direction and growth initiatives. Advise, make recommendations, implement and monitor network infrastructure to ensure the growth of the organisation is supported. Lead the management of security systems across all locations, liaising with security providers to ensure optimal systems are in place and functioning effectively. Advise on, recommend, implement, and monitor the organisation’s cyber security framework in alignment with the Essential Eight Maturity Model. Provide guidance and direction (as part of the executive security team, comprising four members) for security breaches, such as unauthorised entry to a Myli building, which may occasionally require attention outside regular working hours. Develop, manage, and report on the department’s budget. Analyse and evaluate data to make informed, data-driven decisions regarding technology investments and departmental capability needs. Prioritise and manage competing demands, ensuring resources are allocated effectively across projects and operational needs. Investigate and analyse complex issues, making well-informed decisions based on professional expertise, prior experience, and independent research. Lead technology team members with a focus on productivity, priority setting, and fostering their professional growth. Expertise in liaising and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders. Prepare reports and deliver presentations to the Board as required. An ideal candidate for this position would be someone who possesses: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Information Systems, or a related field. Minimum 3 years’ experience as a senior manager, preferably in a technology-focused role. Expertise in the implementation and management of cyber security frameworks, such as the Essential Eight Maturity Model. Experience managing complex technology infrastructure and driving organisational growth through innovative technology solutions. Strong understanding of Australian data privacy laws, cyber security standards, and relevant compliance frameworks. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a high-performing team. This is a full-time position (38hrs per week) on the Executive Leadership Team Band 7 - $103,022 - $115,263 per annum plus Superannuation.
