With offices across Australia, America, and the UK, the company provides technology platforms supporting diversified investment portfolios across multiple asset classes. As the firm continues to scale, they are seeking a hands-on IT Operations Manager to drive IT service delivery, manage infrastructure, and support high-performance teams. About the Role Reporting to the Head of IT , this role will be responsible for the smooth operation of all technology functions , ensuring seamless support for the firm’s investment teams. You will manage IT services, oversee vendor relationships, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and security. This is a broad, hands-on role that requires a mix of infrastructure, networking, applications support, and vendor management —ideal for someone who is hands on in their role and looking to take the next step towards growing and leading a team. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring a high standard of support for internal teams. Manage relationships with external vendors and MSPs , ensuring service delivery aligns with business outcomes. Support and improve cloud infrastructure (Azure) and Cisco networking . Drive IT process improvements in onboarding, offboarding, and IT service management. Lead IT security initiatives, including DLP (Data Loss Prevention) and compliance projects. Manage trading systems and applications , supporting a mix of proprietary and vendor-based platforms . Keep IT support tickets moving efficiently, ensuring rapid issue resolution. About You Autonomous and innovative - you take ownership and go the extra mile. Strong problem-solving skills , with an empathetic and results-driven approach . Experience in infrastructure, networking, and applications support – beyond just desktop support. Comfortable managing MSPs and external vendors to drive performance. Knowledge of Azure cloud, Cisco networking, and IT security best practices . Some exposure to application support ideally with front to back office systems. Strong stakeholder engagement skills – able to support high-performing investment teams . An entrepreneurial mindset , focused on continuous improvement and process optimisation.
