Executive Officer, Catholic School Parents Victoria (CSPV) $120k-$140k. Pro-Rata. Dependent on Experience Are you passionate about providing representation and support for parents of students in Catholic schools across Victoria? Do you want to advocate for the principles of Catholic education and promote Catholic schools as the preferred choice for families by fostering partnerships with schools, the Church, and the community? *** This role is offered on a part time 0.6 FTE basis only *** The Role Join VCEA as the Executive Officer for CSPV, a vital role dedicated to supporting the renewal of the CSPV Council. Embedded within VCEA, the peak body for Catholic Education, this part-time position (0.6) ensures access to consistent support and resources while focusing exclusively on CSPV's mission. You'll work closely with the CSPV Chair and VCEA's Chief Strategy Officer to re-establish the CSPV Council, provide ongoing support, and foster collaboration between parents and educators. Ideal candidates will bring a deep understanding of the Catholic Church’s educational mission, Victoria’s education landscape, and the importance of parent-educator partnerships. About the CSPV CSPV represents parents of students in Victorian Catholic schools. Established as a private association within the Catholic Church and is closely aligned to VCEA. Its purposes as outlined in its constitution are to: represent parents of students in Catholic Schools in Victoria; promote parents as partners in education with Schools, the Church and the community; promote the principles of Catholic education in collaboration with the VCEA Members; and promote Catholic Schools as schools of first choice. What you’ll Do As the Executive Officer for CSPV, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation's mission by: Assisting the CSPV Council in prioritising activities aligned with its purposes. Collaborating to identify key issues and advocacy campaigns that reflect CSPV's goals and VCEA's mission. Developing and managing family engagement projects. Representing the perspectives of parents in Catholic schools by responding to requests for input from educational bodies. Overseeing and managing the CSPV budget in consultation with the Chair and the VCEA Chief Strategy Officer. Supporting CSPV operations, including organising Council meetings, managing procedures, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with governance requirements. What you’ll bring Exceptional written, verbal, and listening skills, coupled with professionalism and a respectful communication style. Strong ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with team members and stakeholders at all levels, both within VCEA and externally. Proven capacity to liaise effectively with diverse staff groups and external agencies, including Church and public-sector organisations. High adaptability in managing conflicting demands and priorities, with a proactive and flexible approach to a dynamic work environment. Demonstrated experience in preparing committee materials such as agendas, minutes, and reports, with accuracy and timeliness. Expertise in supporting and monitoring projects, processes, and workflows in collaboration with the VCEA team. Qualifications and Experience Four years or more experience in education, project delivery, leadership or a related field. Experience in a Catholic context preferred. Appropriate tertiary qualifications in education or a related field.
