Executive Officer - Corporate and Commercial Services Posted: 10/03/2025 Closing Date: 23/03/2025 Job Type: Temporary Location: Orange City Council Job Category: Administration and Office Join Council's Corporate and Commercial Services as the Executive Officer! Are you an adept administrator/office manager with a knack for providing exceptional executive support? This position is a crucial member of our team, you'll directly support the Director of Corporate and Commercial Services, managing office operations and overseeing Divisional Grant Programs and cross-divisional Projects. As the Executive Officer, you'll lead the charge in executive support for the Director. This will include: Leading and managing the Executive Support function for the Director’s Office to provide a high level of office management, administrative and secretarial support. Management of the Director's schedule including planning for and anticipating the workflow requirements of the Director. Drafting policy papers (including Council papers) and reports with the support of the Director. Responsibility for the management of Divisional Grant Programs with an emphasis on applicant liaison and monitoring of Grant budgets. Coordination of assigned meetings, agendas, minutes and follow-up on actions from these meetings. What do you need? Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent qualifications or experience. Extensive experience in a similar role providing executive or high-level administration and secretarial support. Proven effective negotiation, conflict resolution, problem-solving and influencing skills. Excellent organisational and planning skills. Financial acumen sufficient to enable management of the Divisional Grant programs, understand the Divisional budget and manage procurement processes.
