Executive Officer to the CEO $144,374-$167,369 + 15.4% super Canberra based, Baseline Clearance Ongoing ABOUT THE ROLE Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Executive Officer to the CEO is responsible for overseeing management of the office of the CEO and providing comprehensive executive, secretariat and project support services to the CEO to ensure the successful functioning of the Executive office. The Executive Officer plays a critical role at AMSA and provides support and guidance to other Executive Officers so that administrative services are delivered efficiently and effectively across the organisation. You will be responsible for: Applying critical thinking to provide high level executive support to the CEO on strategic and organisational matters. Monitoring and reporting on strategic, operational matters to inform decision making and support achievement of organisational objectives for the CEO. Providing Executive Secretariat support at Executive meetings and Board meetings as required, including preparation of meeting papers and minutes in a timely manner. Collating and analysing data to inform advice to the CEO on strategic and operational matters. Collaborating effectively across AMSA and with other stakeholders, acting as a senior point of contact within the Office of the CEO and managing CEO priorities, with effective collaboration with senior officials and AMSA staff. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE To be successful in this position, you will have the following skills and experience: Proven track record in providing high level support to senior executive positions in a similar professional environment. Demonstrated ability to anticipate risk, solve problems, negotiate productive outcomes and deal effectively and discretely with sensitive and confidential information. Highly developed people management, verbal and written communications skills and ability to build productive working relationships with stakeholders. Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, work autonomously, employ initiative to find solutions, attention to detail and prioritise effectively. A relevant business degree or similar would be an advantage however is not mandatory.
