Executive Officer to the PVC: Aboriginal Leadership and Strategy Based in Chancellery at the City West Campus Full time, fixed term contract until 31 December 2025 Commencement Salary: $112,143 per annum (plus 17% superannuation) About You You have demonstrated resilience, flexibility, initiative, and the ability to operate strategically within a busy and complex environment. You effectively manage competing demands and produce high quality responses within limited timeframes. Your attention to detail is focused and you have a strong understanding of Aboriginal affairs. About the Role You will support and advise the Pro Vice Chancellor: Aboriginal Leadership and Strategy (PVC:ALS) by coordinating strategic projects, researching and writing submissions, generating policy advice, high level committee support, liaising with stakeholders both within and external to the University, and assisting with strategic analysis of key issues. The Executive Officer proactively communicates the Office’s views and policy directions and, where required, represents and negotiates on behalf of the Pro Vice Chancellor and the portfolio’s Strategic Lead. About the Office of the Pro Vice Chancellor: Aboriginal Leadership and Strategy The office of the PVC:ALS was established in 2016 to manage and coordinate all university activities pertaining to the education, employment, community engagement and research of Aboriginal Peoples at the University of South Australia. The PVC:ALS leads the development of a whole of institution approach to the recruitment, support, retention and success of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the University. Essential Skills and Experience High level strategic and problem solving skills to enable the provision and application of insightful and innovative advice to senior managers Highly developed oral communication and negotiation skills, including the demonstrated ability to engage successfully with stakeholders at all levels, and from diverse cultures, both internal and external to the organisation Proven and excellent analytical, research and writing skills to enable the effective sourcing and synthesis of relevant information and data, and the provision of high quality reports, briefing papers, business cases, discussion papers and submissions Experience in servicing high level committees or working/project groups Benefits Getting a great job working with the best is just the start.
