The Director of First Nations Strategy and Leadership here at The Kids is seeking a confident Executive Projects Manager to support the Implementation and Evaluation of the Institute's Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), along with other Initiatives led by the Director of First Nations Strategy and Leadership. The Institute's Reconciliation Action Plan aims to formalise our commitments to Reconciliation, through developing and implementing initiatives based on respect, relationships, opportunities and governance, that benefit Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Through implementation of the RAP, we aspire to strengthen our relationships, create strategies to advance reconciliation and empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Reporting to the Director of First Nations Strategy and Leadership and working closely with the Institute's Executive Leadership Team, researchers, partners and professional support staff, you will provide high-level project management, operational and financial support by leading various activities – from supporting stakeholder engagement and management activities, driving strategic initiatives and advocacy, people and team management, coordination of project scopes, reporting requirements and budgets. No two days will be the same in this role, so strong organisational skills and a collaborative approach will be key to your success. Some of your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Supporting the Director of First Nations Strategy and Leadership and broader team in project related activities including engagement with stakeholders, partners and communities, coordinating and managing the RAP and reporting requirements and ensuring timely delivery of key outputs. Providing daily operational people management and support required to ensure the effective implementation of the RAP. Preparing and managing expenses, budgets and financial reporting requirements at a project level. Preparing consultation documents, stakeholder reports and responses to queries. Overseeing legal agreements and contracts with various third parties, including project partners. This position will be based at The Kids Research Institute Australia in Nedlands, WA and will be offered on a full-time, ongoing basis. About You This position would suit someone who shares our passion to improve the health of kids here in WA and across the globe, and who has previous experience working in a project management position. The successful candidate should also be able to demonstrate the following: Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail. Experience in providing high-level project management support to a senior leader. Demonstrated capacity to support and liaise with diverse teams, stakeholders and partners. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders and community groups. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and facilitate effective teamwork. Experience working with multiple industry stakeholders (Government and Corporate partners, Communities) is highly desirable.
