The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking an Executive Services Support Officer to provide a critical role at Western Plains Correctional Centre. About the Business Unit Western Plains Correctional Centre (Western Plains) is Victoria's newest maximum-security correctional facility, designed to house up to 1,248 people in custody. Western Plains is a multi-purpose facility that adapts to the evolving needs of Corrections Victoria. It features purpose-built modern amenities including medical wards, a cultural centre and vocational training facilities. It utilises cutting-edge technology to keep the facility secure, allowing staff to focus on supporting the rehabilitation of people in custody. About the Role The Executive Services Support Officer is responsible for providing general administrative support to various service delivery areas across WPCC. This role will oversee and maintain various databases, systems and record management processes. Reporting to the Supervisor, Executive Services, you will play a key role in supporting ongoing business requirements. This is a hands-on role that will require you to apply your strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise and manage workloads; work productively under minimal supervision; and provide exceptional customer service to employees. Some of your duties will include: Be a key contributor to the development of an innovative new correctional facility. Deliver proactive administrative support across a range of critical activities. Provide accurate and reliable support to managers and team leaders. Build mutually beneficial partnerships with varying stakeholders. About you To be successful in this role, you will have: Demonstrated knowledge or ability in general administration and data entry. Demonstrated written and communication skills. Demonstrated experience in certain essential software skills (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and other related record management software).
