ABOUT THE POSITION: The purpose of this position is to project manage a range of major and minor projects within the Exhibition team. Allocated projects may include incoming and outbound touring exhibitions, temporary and long-term exhibitions, public or orientation space projects, artist commissions, rapid response displays, multimedia productions, gallery refreshments, visitor facilities projects, and object changeovers and maintenance, as part of an integrated program of development and delivery for the galleries, foyers and public spaces at any of Museums Victoria’s venues. Some of the key duties include: Lead multidisciplinary project teams through all project stages. Produce project schedules, allocate resources, and manage budgets. Liaise with stakeholders, prepare project briefs, and progress reports. Coordinate deliverables including compliance, installation, and marketing. Manage prototyping, testing, and evaluation processes. Support development of major exhibitions and manage outbound tours. Oversee project deinstallation and disposal. Ensure compliance with OHS and risk management policies. Maintain industry networks and stakeholder relationships. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE: Experience in project management for exhibitions or visitor experiences. Skills in planning, budgeting, procurement, and risk management. Ability to lead project teams and contractors. Capacity to advocate for visitor and operational needs. Understanding of exhibition and museum sector standards. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. OTHER INFORMATION: This is a VPS4, full-time, ongoing position. The salary offered is $92,332 based on grade (pro rata) + 11.5% superannuation. The successful applicant will be required to undergo a National Police Records Check. HOW TO APPLY?
