Expression of interest for Casual Opportunities for Mental Health Support Workers and Community Mental Health Practitioners. Support clients with mental ill health to positively work towards their wellbeing goals and independent living. Regional Victoria Locations: Drouin, Traralgon, Bendigo, Seymour, Mooroopna, Horsham, Colac & Wodonga. Casual roles: 24/7 roster | Applicants must be able to complete day and sleepover shifts. About the opportunities: Mind Australia is seeking expressions of interest for people interested in employment throughout Regional Victoria in our Residential, Psychosocial, Transitional, Complex Care, Adult & Youth PARC, and Youth Services. If you are a compassionate individual who wants to work in the mental health sector and contribute to the Victorian Regional Community, and you have completed your studies in Certificates 3 and 4 in Community Services, Mental Health, and related areas, then we want to hear from you. We are currently seeking expressions of interest for the following roles: Mental Health Support Worker: Provide support with daily living tasks, such as appointment reminders, meal planning and preparation, personal care, medication management, and more. This role focuses on meeting individuals at their level, empowering them to work towards independent living through a staged recovery approach. Community Mental Health Practitioner: In addition to the duties of a Mental Health Support Worker, this role involves collaborating with key members of the client’s recovery team, including clinical partners, support coordinators, and family members. Key responsibilities include coordinating care team meetings, ensuring Mind Essential Recovery Documents are up to date, and aligning them with the client’s long-term goals for independence and recovery. What you’ll bring: Tertiary qualifications in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or other health-related fields are desirable. Expertise in working with people with mental health issues, complex needs, and interacting with families and carers. Ability to provide information and mentoring to build capability, establish social relationships, create community networks, and access relevant services. Experience in facilitating group activities for clients experiencing mental ill health is desirable. Understanding of the Community Services sector and ability to build strong relationships with service providers, clinical teams, and key stakeholders.
